Information
This study conducted to evaluate for epoxy asphalt mixture using domestic resin and hardener. Epoxy asphalt mixture was produced with test conditions and evaluate using marshall stability test and indirect tensile strength test; epoxy addition rate(binder : epoxy = 80 : 20 or 85 : 15), type of binder(PG 64-22 or PG 76-22), keeping time for hardening(30Min. or 120Min), curing time( 1 day 〜 7days). It was found that the longer curing time and grater the amount of epoxy resin and hardener, marshall stability and tensile strength increased. The epoxy asphalt mixture using PG 76-22 is better marshall stability and indirect tensile strength than the epoxy asphalt mixture using PG 64-22. As a result of the Test according to keeping time, in case of marshall stability improve with increasing keeping time, but indirect tensile strength was a same because hardener consisting of acid anhydride used this study takes a long time to cure. It was satisfied with marshall stability of epoxy asphalt mixture aging after 7days and indirect tensile strength regardless of the curing time compared with Japanese Honshu-Shikoku bridge deck criteria (JA) for remain competitive with other products.
