Abstract

The resilient modulus of asphalt mixture is the property which represents deformation characteristics under repeated loading, and used for pavement design and performance evaluation. In this study, resilient characteristics of railway asphalt mixture were evaluated by indirect tension mode of resilient modulus test with variables of asphalt type and temperature. In different temperatures, the effects of visco-elasticity characteristics of asphalt binders on resilient modulus of asphalt mixture were evaluated. Mechanical behavior characteristics of asphalt mixture were compared by the analyses of total resilient modulus and instant resilient modulus using different PG binders.
