Domestic steel plate bridges have various waterproofing methods. Waterproofing of bridges shall be conducted to prevent rust that may occur on steel plates. The waterproofing of the bridge face of the steel plate is also related to the paving to be constructed on the waterproof layer. This study aims to investigate and analyze the waterproof methods of steel plate bridge in Korea. In addition, several steel plate bridges in Korea that had problems with waterproofing were investigated for damage in waterproofing during the re-paving process. In addition, the waterproof condition of the bridge was investigated during the inspection of the steel plate bridges. Through these data surveys, we intend to analyze the characteristics of the waterproof layer of steel plate bridges. As a result of this study, the waterproofing method of steel plate with Guss asphalt paving method and rubber asphalt waterproofing method showed excellent anti-corrosion effect.
