This paper, presents extensive study results to verify the suitability of a particular type of Electric Arc Furnace Steel Slags (EAFSS) to be recycled not only for dense graded but also for porous asphalt mixture materials. As an experimental work, two test methods: cyclic creep test and stiffness modulus test were considered to evaluate the mechanical performances of three different asphalt mixtures (i.e. dense graded, porous asphalt and stone mastic asphalt mixtures) prepared with two different types of EAFSS. In addition, the same three mixtures were also designed with conventional aggregates (i.e. basalt and limestone) for comparison. As a result, all the asphalt mixtures prepared with EAFSS satisfied the European standards current requirements, which supports EAFSS as suitable material for flexible pavement. Based on the experimental work, it can be said that EAFSS can successfully be an alternative aggregate in asphalt material production.
