Abstract

This study used control pass-by method for Polymer Rubber asphalt concrete pavement packed in the city center and conducted noise measurement controlled by type 1 and type 5 vehicles. The height of the noise meter was 0.6 m, 1.2 m, and 1.8 m to check the effect of the spread of the noise. In addition, traffic on one-way three-lane roads was made on the two-lane road and the location of the noise meter was carried out on the sidewalk 7.5 meters from the end of the second-lane. The vehicle speed was carried out at 50 km/h and 70 km/h. The noise measurement was conducted immediately after the construction and four months after the construction of Polymer Rubber asphalt concrete pavement. For comparative analysis, noise measurements were made on the surrounding general asphalt concrete pavement under the same conditions. The final analysis showed that there was less noise, about 3-5 dB. In addition, the results of CPX (Close Proximity) of the simple tube method were less than those of normal packaging. This study found that the noise of asphalt concrete pavement can be reduced to asphalt concrete pavement of other materials other than drainage asphalt concrete pavement.
