Abstract
This study was conducted to evaluate low-density poly-ethylene(LDPE) fix이n wasted vinyl as asphalt binder modifier. The recycled LDPE was blended with straight asphalt binder(penetration 60-80, PG 64-22). In order to confirm that the influence of mixer type expect to show the different binder characteristics, the different agitators which high speed homogenizer and low speed general mixer used in this study. The test methods include physical test(softening point test, penetrating test, ductility test), rheological test(PG grade). As a result of test, LDPE modified binder is superior to straight asphalt binder at physical and rheolgical properties regardless of the type of agitators. Modified asphalt binder specimen using homogenizer is a little superior in physical properties than specimen using general mixer, but it is similar in rheological properties.
