Abstract

Usually, the cause of traffic accidents with a high fatality rate in Korea is fog, which shows a higher fatality rate than in other weathers. Likewise, the cause of traffic accidents with a high fatality rate in Korea in winter is a slip accident caused by black ice. Therefore, this study aims to establish a traffic accident prevention system by sliding and fog using Multipurpose Optical Black Ice Sensor to reduce the risk of death from fog and black ice when driving on the road. To this end, it can be commercialized using the results of existing research analysis, improvement, and field verification.
