This study is a fundamental reserch for developing self-deicing function of asphalt concrete for road pavement. The objective of this study is evaluate performance properties of the self-deicing asphalt mixtures made by adding a anti-icing agent. The Grikol was used as a filler in the asphalt mixture as a snow melting agent. Deformation strength (SD), indirect tensile strength (ITS), dynamic stability (DS) tests were carried out to assess the performance properties of self-deicing asphalt mixtures. This study shows that the self-deicing asphalt mixture has no problems in terms of deformation strength, tensile strength, and dynamic stability compared to the normal asphalt mixture. Therefore, the Grikol, anti-icing agent, can be used instead of the filler of asphalt mixture.
